Should I get my ex girlfriend something small for Christmas?

My ex girlfriend broke up with me because she needed more space, and possibly because I was a little too clingy.
I’m trying really hard not to be clingy, and giving her time to start missing me.

But would it be a good idea to get her something small for Christmas and leave it at her doorstep as a surprise, or would that just come off as begging to get her back?
