men, have you ever broken up with someone suddenly?

Someone you’d been with for a while but for whatever reason you had to end it. Maybe because your wife found out, or because an old girlfriend returned. How were you able to just cut someone off like that? No more contact. Did she try to contact you again and if so how did you handle it knowing you really broke her heart?

Yes I have. It was a girl I was with for over two years. She was a good girl and all, but overall I didn’t feel she was “the one”. I wanted to get out of it for awhile but just never knew how. Then, a good friend of mine, who I had absolutely been in love with for years, started to express interest in me. That was my out. I have now been with this new girl for over two years and I do think she is “the one”. So all and all I think it was good for all parties involved. I still feel terrible to this day for breaking the girls heart. It’s happened to me so I know how it feels. She still called and emailed everyday for the first month or so. I didn’t mind because I had no hard feelings against her. My new girlfriend however, was not amused by the contact, so I had to tell her we couldn’t talk for awhile. I felt like I broke her heart all over again.
