How can i get a guy to get over his ex girlfriend?

Alright, well i really like this guy. And he also told me he likes me a lot! We talk everyday and hang out. But he also said he still has a lot of feelings for his ex-girlfriend. I mean, i don’t blame him. They were together since freshman year, on and off (he’s a junior now). And i guess they were “in love”. Oh, and she dumped him…
So how can i get him over his ex girlfriend?

It just takes time. No quick fix. Even if someone won’t admit it, breaking up with someone you care about hurts and takes time. Chill, relax it will go where it should go. Don’t talk about her and the past relationship and if he brings it up, shut it down with “Can you trust her? Do you want her back?”
