when you have broken up with someone and some of your lovers friends are still your friends. Why do they tell?

more of the wrong doing after the relationship is over. I am saying like to tell that there were more people your lover cheated with than the one or two that you already know about.

They do it for selfish reasons and also to try and help you (in their own minds they think that telling you will help you to get over him since they are trying to show you that you are better off without him).
The selfish reason is that they probably wanted to tell you earlier that he has been cheating on you, but did not want to interfere with the relationship or hurt you/him. However once the relationship is over they can tell you and clear their conscience.
If it is hurting you, tell them. Tell them that you do not want to hear about that and you would rather not know. It is at the end of the day their problem and not yours. You have to deal with the break up. it is not your duty to try and ease their conscience.
