How long does it take to get a divorce? How much does divorce cost in MI?

My husband and I want to file a divorce together. We don't want to fight each other. We talked and agreed with everything we want. We are separated almost 2 years. We are good friends because of our 15 years old son. We want to be singles.

Be prepared for at least 6 months. There is a waiting period in Michigan after you file when you have children. I am pretty sure it is 6 months. Plus you should get a lawyer even if it is the same one just to make sure everything is ok.
