Should I have broken up with my boyfriend?

I broke up with my boyfriend recently. The reason I did it was because I love him. He’s the perfect guy for me and treats me amazingly. However, I’m scared. I’ve never made it to this point in a relationship. The reason we broke up is because I’m not ready for a serious relationship because I don’t know myself, who I am. I need to find that out first.
I really love him. He is devastated and really hurt.
Did I do the right thing?

You broke up with him because you love him? Why would you do that. Anyone would think you were crazy for doing that. You say that you ain’t ready for a serious relationship but you love him. I don’t think you did the right thing. Don’t be too surprised if he doesn’t want you back.
