Is it common for a guy and a girl to get back together if they broken up before?

Like I know I am in only 8th grade and I just broke up with my GF. Now I regret it and am considering asking her out again.
I was just wondering if it was common for couples who broken up before to get back together again?

very very common. especially at your age
